These terms govern your use of Nelson Studio (nelsonstudio.ca) and the custom songs we make. By placing an order, you agree to them.

1. What we sell

Nelson Studio produces a custom digital song: original lyrics based on the story you give us, recorded in the style you choose, delivered as downloadable audio files. Every order includes two recorded versions of the same song and one free remake. An optional add-on records a third version in a different style.

2. Free preview

Before you pay, we show you a free preview — the first verse and chorus of the lyrics. Previews are limited per visitor to prevent abuse. The preview does not guarantee the final recording will sound a particular way; vocal performance and production are generated at the time of payment.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, acting as the merchant of record for this purchase. Paddle handles your payment details and applicable sales tax; we never see or store your card details. Your order confirmation and receipt come from Paddle.

4. What we won't write

Every request is automatically screened before we write anything. We decline requests that are sexual or explicit, involve a minor in any romantic or sexual context, are hateful, harassing, or demeaning toward a person or group, pressure or target someone who has ended contact, are about a real public figure in a way meant to mock or defame them, or ask us to copy an existing song or imitate a named real artist. If we decline your request, you'll be told why and won't be charged.

5. AI-generated content

Lyrics are written using Claude (Anthropic). Music is composed and performed using ElevenLabs' licensed Music model, cleared for commercial use. Audio files are signed with C2PA content credentials identifying them as AI-generated. No real artist's voice, likeness, or existing song is used or imitated.

6. Remakes and refunds

Every order includes one free remake: tell us what to change and we'll rewrite the lyrics and re-record the song, once, at no extra cost. If you're still not satisfied, our refund policy applies.

7. Your story and the final song

You're responsible for making sure the people, names, and stories you share with us are accurate and that you have the right to tell them (for example, don't submit private details about someone without their knowledge in a way that could embarrass or harm them). We reserve the right to decline or take down any order that violates these terms, even after delivery.

8. Ownership

Once delivered, you may keep, play, and share your song personally and send the gift link to the recipient. Because the song is generated per order, we can't guarantee exclusivity of every musical element (similar prompts can produce similar-sounding output), but the lyrics are written fresh for your specific story and not reused across orders.
