This explains what we collect when you use Nelson Studio, why, and who else sees it.
1. What we collect
When you request a preview or place an order, we collect: the recipient's name and your story details (relationship, occasion, mood, genre, vocal preference, and the memories/details you write in), your email address, and whether you opted in to marketing emails. If you pay, Paddle collects your payment and billing details directly — we only receive confirmation that payment succeeded, your email, and the order reference.

3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run Nelson Studio, each only receiving what they need to do their job:
- Anthropic (Claude) — writes your lyrics from the story you provide.
- ElevenLabs — composes and performs the music.
- Paddle — processes payment and tax as merchant of record.
- Resend — sends your order and delivery emails.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, database, and audio files.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share your story or song with anyone beyond what's needed to produce and deliver it.
4. How long we keep it
We keep order data (brief, lyrics, song files) for as long as needed to deliver your song, handle a remake or refund request, and meet our own legal/accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time once your order is complete — contact us below.
5. Your choices
You can opt out of marketing emails anytime via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. You can ask what data we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to what we need to keep for legal/accounting reasons.
6. Children
Nelson Studio is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we never write songs with sexual or romantic content involving a minor.
7. Security
Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with access limited to what's needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
